-Please note: all newly refinished surfaces will have some surface dust which will have settled into the new surface. Do not be concerned. The new surface is still curing. With normal use and regular cleaning, the dust will dissipate within a few weeks.
-Waiting period: the new finish needs at least 24 hours to 48 hours to cure thoroughly. Do not use any cleaning solutions for the first 7 days after refinishing.
-Be sure your faucets do not leak or drip. Leaking faucets will erode the new finish causing it to crack and wear out prematurely voiding the warranty. Repair as soon as possible.
-Do not lay soap, metal cans, (shaving cream cans, etc.) wet towels, wash cloths, wet clothes and hot curling irons on the refinished surface.
-The surface can be cleaned and sanitized with a good liquid cleaner of your choice. Do not use cleaners that contain abrasives, ammonia, bleach, harsh acids, SOS pads or Drano type chemicals. Most worn tubs, tile and sinks, become worn out and dull, due to abrasive cleaners, not from usage or age.
-Avoid allowing wet items such as, bath mats, wash cloths and towels to continuously remain on refinished surfaces without drying out between uses. Mats with suction cups should not be used. It will damage the surface and void the warranty.
-Do not use rubber mats or anything with suction cups. Most rubber mats may eventually chip and peel the refinished coating.
-Do not use harsh scrubbing pads on resurfaced areas.
-Do not wash pets in a resurfaced sink or tub. Their toenails can scratch the refinished surface.
-Refinished surfaces are slippery when wet. Budget Tub Refinishing is not responsible for accidents.
